Simax®
is a low expansion borosilicate glass known for its stability, good
workability and high thermal shock resistance. Simax® low rate of
thermal expansion makes it an excellent material for many applications.
Simax® is resistant to corrosion and remains absolutely neutral,
even to aggressive chemicals, in nearly all fields of chemistry.
Borosilicate glass is extremely resistant to water, acids, salt solutions,
organic substances and halogen. Simax® borosilicate glass is also highly resistant to alkali.
