Pattern Glass:
Our patterned glass offers architects and designers many opportunities to divide space or spread light in a decorative manner. Certain patterns (C-73) are specifically designed for lighting fixtures to provide maximum brightness control and lamp hiding power. We can enhance their appearance with our many fabricating techniques, such as frosting and ceramic coating for opalescent effects, laminating for safety or UV absorption.
Unique Laminating Process: One of our unique fabrication capabilities is to laminate our patterned glasses to other patterned glasses, or to other flat, clear or colored glasses. Since almost every building has an area where building codes require the use of safety glass, laminated glass is ideal for such applications, including residential and commercial buildings, storefronts, window displays, banks and more.
Traditionally, tempered glass has been used in these areas, however, the use of laminated glass meets all safety requirements while automatically providing security to the building. Glass laminated with a minimum of 0.030" interlayer classifies as safety glass according to the highest level of standards set by the US and the UK: US safety standards ANSI Z97.1 ; Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) CFR 1201 Category II, and UK standard BS 6206, class A. We can also offer these laminated products in burglar resistant and security level laminates for added safety and security.
Control over solar and UV radiation can be achieved with various combinations of tints and solar control glasses selected for lamination. The interlayer we use filters up to 99% of ultraviolet radiation. The solar control glasses can help control energy use and the U.V. blocker helps to stop fading of interior furnishings.
Our laminating system also offers a barrier against all levels of noise pollution; in particular, noise caused by aircraft, construction, road traffic, and other low frequency range noise.
Annealed patterned glass: meets the requirements of ASTM-C-1036-5 and Federal Specification DD-G-451d.
Tempered pattern glass: most can be tempered for added protection against thermal differences and mechanical stress and would meet the requirements of ASTM-C-1048-85, ANSI 297.1-1984 CPSC 16 CFR 1201 CAT. II and Federal specification DD-G-1403B.
